About Franck For Accounts
John P. Franck is the six-term Commissioner of Accounts for the City of Saratoga Springs. He is the endorsed Democrat and has been also been endorsed by the Independence and Working Families Party for this upcoming November 2017 election. The Commissioner of Accounts acts as the City Assessor, City Clerk, Purchasing Agent, Insurance Officer, Records Management Officer, and Register of Vital Records.
Mr. Franck has lived in the local community since 1971. He is a 1981 graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and a 1985 graduate of Siena College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting.
John has over 32 years of operation and financial management experience in a range of executive positions (CEO/COO) and proven record in taxes, finance, business development, real estate management and ownership. He is a shareholder and Vice-President of McKenna & Franck, CPA, PC, where he specializes in real estate taxation, restaurant and retail accounting, business, financial planning and not-for-profit accounting.
Along with his CPA license, Mr. Franck also is a certified assessor. Professionally he is a member of the American Institute and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Assessors’ Association.
His past and present community involvement includes: Treasurer for Congressman Scott Murphy, Board Member Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council, Board Member of Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation, Treasurer of Literacy NENY Saratoga-Glens Falls Chapter, Treasurer of Saratoga Shakespeare Company, Lecturing Knight and Tiler of Saratoga Elks 161, and Coach for various youth baseball teams.
John has three children, a daughter, McKenzie, and two sons, John Jr and Matthew.
